I have moved over 1400 miles away. I worked with Paul at Global. I gave him dimensions of everything that I would be taking with me. Each time my price went up. I was okay with it and comfortable with what I was told would be the final price. They called the day before they were to come stating they would be at my place between 10-11 am. They finally showed up after 3pm. Without moving a thing they told me that it would cost more and that they didn't include any of the packing for the sofa and large furniture. They charged me more than $400 than quoted. They acted as if they were doing me a favor by not charging for tape. They also said that they do this because the difference comes out of their pay and that the word "Binding" doesn't really mean binding. I had no choice but to agree. We got to our new place. Waited 7 business days before calling to find out an approximate delivery date. I was told my stuff either left the point of origin the day before or that day. I was promised a call back after they spoke with dispatch. I waited 3 days" before calling them again. I was told my items were just leaving the point if origin on Thursday. I asked for proof that it was really leaving. They said that I had to take his word. I asked for a manager and was denied the right to speak with one. I checked again for reviews on this company and learned that people waited almost 2 months for their items and had to get police involved. I wasn't waiting I called the police they contacted the carrier. The rep for the carrier was the same one I spoke to earlier. He changed the story again with the police on the line. I stated facts and they were stating that I was just upset. I explained I was upset due to the lack of answers I was getting regarding my delivery. The police told the company that they are under contract. An manager got on the phone and told me that my items were just crossing into my new state and depending where on the truck they are should be delivered this weekend. He would call by end of business two days ago with more information. I still have not received a call. I have been waiting 2 weeks with no answers and a ruined back from living here with no furniture and only an air mattress. My kids need their furniture too!
